Summary
DescriptionBangalore Outbound Trains Frequency Chart.png
English: Frequency Chart of the daily outbound trains from en:Bangalore city area, en:India from 5am to 1am. The visualization of the timetable is based on en:Étienne-Jules Marey's train schedule from Paris to Lyon. The graphic represents the non-linear railway network of the Bangalore and its suburbs in a linear fashion for simplified reading.
The idea behind the graphic was to get a better understanding of the frequency of trains in a particular section to find out if the trains can be used as an alternative mode of transport by commuters for travel within the city. Bangalore currently does not have a suburban rail network and the population depends primarily on road transport for commuting. Data source
