Summary
DescriptionThree snatch blocks.jpg |
English: The left (and largest) snatch block is shown in the closed position, the center (middle size) is shown open, this opening is how the line is fed through the block. The small block, is shown closed and “moused”. Mousing can be accomplished with wire, or as in this case the small black cord. Mousing a snatch block is done to prevent the snatch from accidentally opening while in use. The ability to open the snatch block and attach an extra block onto a line that is already under tension is one of the many uses of a snatch block. |
