Testing & Commissioning

KYNNCO, with its highly skilled and knowledgeable team of engineers and technicians, provides comprehensive testing and commissioning support according to project specifications. The primary objective of on-site testing and commissioning is to validate the proper installation and wiring of all equipment and sub-systems, ensuring their readiness for operation. The testing process focuses on conducting safety checks before initiating start-up procedures.

Here are the key steps involved in the testing and commissioning process:

1. Ensure starting is inhibited.
2. Ensure the diesel generator set is clean and fully assembled.
3. Check the battery status to ensure it is healthy and proper voltage is available.
4. Verify that the battery charger is operational and charging.
5. Ensure there are no loose materials around the generator set.
6. Ensure controls and maintenance areas are unobstructed.
7. Warn personnel of impending equipment start-up.
8. Initiate initial start-up.
9. Perform manual start-up and idle run check.
10. Run the generator at full speed and check.
11. After completing speed checks, set the generator for rated speed.
12. Set desired voltage and frequency.
13. Check oil level, pressure, and temperature.
14. Ensure radiator operation and check for any coolant leakage.
15. Verify proper fuel supply with no leakage.
16. Check exhaust system operation and observe smoke status.
17. Verify control calibrations.
18. Check phase rotation.
19. Test local stop/emergency and stop control.
20. Test remote start/stop and emergency stop.
21. Perform load test.
22. Check the generator with load available at the site.
23. Apply variable load as per requirements.
24. Record relevant readings during the load test.

This meticulous testing and commissioning process ensure that the generator system is functioning optimally and meets all safety and operational standards before being put into service.
